Armed Forces Covenant Dinner

It was a privilege to host the Armed Forces Covenant Dinner at Mansion House on the 26th February, rallying industry and military leaders and urging businesses to bolster their support for the Reserve Forces. I am particularly pleased to support this work alongside the Lady Mayoress, a serving Army Reservist, as well as the Minister for Veterans and People, Alistair Carns, and Barclays Group Chief Operating Officer, Alistair Currie.

Armed Forces Covenant Dinner

We rely on our Armed Forces to protect the very assets that make the City a global financial powerhouse. From the freedom of the seas that ensures global trade, to the freedom of the skies that facilitates movement across borders, our security infrastructure underpins everything we do.

Celebrating the Reserve Armed Forces

As chair of the City Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Association, my plea to Square Mile businesses is threefold. If you’ve not yet done so, sign the Armed Forces Covenant as a matter of urgency. Grant your teams time to serve as instructors with Cadet units. And for those of you lucky enough to have Reservists in your business, do whatever you can to allow them to stay serving.
