Homewards - by HRH The Prince of Wales

During the summer my wife Florence and I had the great honour to spend some time with HRH The Prince of Wales in Lambeth to celebrate the first anniversary of the launch of Homewards. This is the programme of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales which seeks to tackle homelessness. The Homewards programme is our chosen charity partner for The Lord Mayor's Appeal. One of the six pilot projects is based in Lambeth.

This follows on from the visit that Florence and I made to another Homewards pilot project in Aberdeen in March. As well as a visit late last year to Finland to see how that country has done so much to tackle the scourge of homelessness.

It was excellent to see many of the excellent Royal Foundation team members again, as well as to see those doing so much in the pilot projects - particularly those in Lambeth and Aberdeen.
