Visit to University of Strathclyde

I recently spent a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon at the University of Strathclyde discovering their research into space. I would like to give my sincere thanks to Professor Graham Wren OBE FREng FRSE, FIMechE, FIET, FIoD, EurIng, CEng, CDir Senior Executive and Special Advisor to the Principal, University of Strathclyde for arranging such a remarkable visit for me to some of the facilities of the University of Strathclyde. It was an extraordinary tour de force.

It was a pleasure to have a good meeting with Professor Jim McDonald GBE FRSE FREng FInstP FIET – Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Strathclyde.

Good to hear the work that the university is doing regarding the space sector, as well as its work on semiconductors/power electronics, the maritime supply chain, large scale manufacturing and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

I was impressed to see the activities of the University of Strathclyde’s:
-INOVO Centre- - its collaborative space, bringing together businesses, key partners, and academia
